Default [Q] How to boost my income as I level

Good morning fellow forumers.

I'm quite new to Guild Wars, in fact I only have 10 hours of played time and I'm already through half of Nightfall's Campaign. I do read a lot Wiki. However, I figured that my income is still very low. I was wondering if you could tell me how to boost my income while leveling?

Could you explain to me how to best get advantage of identification and salvage kits (I haven't been salvaging much, but as soon as I figured the crafting option in the game I made up my mind to do so).

So, basically. How to get the most advantage of:
  1. Salvage kits
  2. Identification kits

In other words what to do with the plunder!

Trepidation siezes me as I wait for your answers.

Regards

First of: wrong section, this belongs in the Q&A section.

Secondly, you should id everything you get, especially once you're off the noob island, white weapons suddenly become twice as valuable to merchants.

On salvageing, pricey materials are iron and granite mainly. If you get weapons that salvage into these materials, it is a good idea to salvage them. You should also hold on top all "Measure for Measure" inscriptions you get, and use them on weapons that salvage into iron/granite/dust. You can sell those materials per stack for money in kamadan very easily.

Much appreciated. Does this advice apply in the case where I have Purple items of which I can't find any use?

Like being said, ID everything. Salvaging is a bit of a lottery to me. Yes, when you know what things salvage in you can make nice money out of it, specially with the measure for measure inscription. Keeping track of that is too much of a hassle to me though and the difference in money gained when selling to the merchant too low.

For coloured items it's always good to check the mods and salvage them if either the mod is valuable or usuable on you or one of your hero's (keep in mind you can't use basic salvage kits for ripping mods of).
